America250

America250 is a multiyear effort to commemorate the semiquincentennial, or 250th anniversary, of the United States, that culminates on July 4, 2026.

The purpose of the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission, created by Congress, and the corresponding America250 Foundation is to catalyze a more perfect union by designing and leading the most comprehensive and inclusive celebration in our country’s history. The 9th & 10th (Horse) Cavalry Association is represented on this Commission by Trooper Amos on The Veterans & Military and Family Members Council.

The Veterans & Military and Family Members Council

Military service members, veterans, and their families sacrifice each and every day to protect and uphold our Nation’s founding ideals. The Semiquincentennial is a special occasion to express our deep and unending gratitude for the service and sacrifice America’s military. This Advisory Council will consider how to integrate this special emphasis in America250 partnerships and programming. And The Buffalo Soldiers MUST be apart of this Great Celebration. Stay tuned as we move further into this process, The Associations ideas and suggestions will be key for the council.
